Mummy found a new method to get me calm when guests come. Yesterday and today got this Cheena cleaning lady coming over. With grandpa and ma, my barking system was in tip top condition. But Mummy managed to break that system down with her continuous diversion method. So whenever she's around, the barking system was 85% down. Everyone was happy with that. Even me too! Coz i got to eat the most treats EVER.

Whenever my barking alert goes off, Mummy will say,"Enough" Then she would bring some evil sinful treats so near my nose that i have to pay attention to it. There, i saw Mummy when i got pulled out of my insanity. I kept quiet and beg as usual, and the treats entered my mouth. Yum Yum. Throught the whole cleaning process, the auntie can move around. In fact, i like her moving around coz i get to EATTTTTT. Yum yum! At last, i could feel less stress with guests in the house. Last time, everyone seemed to be very angry with me. Now, Mummy so happy to see me waiting for her at the pen blocking the kitchen.

M: I am majorly proud of her. Thanks to the book " At the other end of leash"! Although she has to be separately from the guest, but i think the cease of barking was a great improvement. My intention was to make sure she dun react to any guests movement in the house, then i will let her out of confinement to interact with guest. Of coz, if the guests aren't afraid of dogs, i may try to remove the confinement. Actually, all these boil down to how well you understand your dog. When Muf barked at the dog, i learnt to understand her alerting rather than scolding her. What i need to do is to walk to the door to see if anything funny outside, if nothing i will tell her it's fine. And she quiet down immediately. Yida's furious scolding just make her bark more and she felt unappreciated doing her 'job'.

In a very boring afternoon, Mummy decided to tell me a story which she loved. It was about little red riding hood and how her grandma got eaten up by the wolf in disguise. I thought it was interesting until she took her pink pyjamas and........

did this. She rolled on the floor laughing.......

Sometimes, we dogs have to tolerate such humiliation in order to make our mummies happy.
